His memorial service will be on Monday 26 June at 11am at the Hibiscus Retirement Village (formally Village of Happiness) Our sincere Sympathies to his sons Roger & Graham and their family & friends. Playing different short shots can be easier
The width of the sole on your wedge, and the grind on the sole, can make it easier or harder to play different short shots.
Does the bounce, grind or sole width on your wedges raise the leading edge or lower the leading edge?
Which works best with your experience and skill, and your angle of attack?
Which supports the different shots you like to play or the shots your loft options force you to play?
Were you fit for your wedges? Does the design of your wedges help make your short-game easier and more effective?
Your scoring clubs are critical to the number of shots you finally register.
If you’ve never had a short-game or scoring club assessment,

Putting the ‘game’ into your short-game
We watch so many regular, and even better golfers who live with a poorer score than they need to.
You should be rolling greenside chip shots to
within 3 feet. If your chip shots
are finishing 2-putt distance from the hole,
then decide to improve that.
This shouldn’t be the nightmare it is for so
many golfers. How many times do you get up and
down out of 10? How many times do you leave
it the sand or miss the green?
Invest in your short-game, it pays off. Invest in your knowledge and technique, invest in your practice,
invest in concentration. Expect more, and enjoy your golf.
